As the "Old-House Realtor", I help people who love older houses and historic neighborhoods buy a home that's right for them. I am also an old house restorer who will provide expertise and refer specialized construction tradesmen for restoration and upkeep of a just-purchased home. Combining knowledge of not only buying, but also repairing and maintaining an old house, is one important benefit that sets me apart from a typical real estate agent.
I have been living on the East Side of Providence for thirty years, always in homes more than 100 years old. Some of these homes I restored with my wife Clary. The Providence Preservation Society (PPS) certified me a Historic House Specialist, and I have chaired the PPS annual open house tour of historic homes. I am a Certified Buyer's Agent who specializes in helping buyers find and purchase the right homes on the East Side of Providence. I advise and represent homebuyers who are considering an older home and a small city lifestyle. My clients range from those looking for a fixer-upper with "good bones" and a lower price tag, to clients relocating to Providence who consider themselves "city people" desiring a good, solid home with old-house detail and antique charm and that is in move-in condition. After closing on a home, my clients want no condition or maintenance surprises!
When a client does purchase a home that needs some work, I can recommend a team of expert craftsmen, each an old-house specialist within their trade, who can do repairs or turn a house with some dated features into the home of your dreams. All trades are represented: from architect to roofer.
