Hello, I'm Chris Healy, a professional, full-time, Realtor with Coleman Realtors on the East Side of Providence. I'm also a Certified Buyer's Agent. I help homebuyers by sharing my expert knowledge of condominiums and single-family homes for sale in Providence, RI.
I will work hard to help you find and purchase the best home, in the best neighborhood, and one that best fits your budget and lifestyle.
I love living in Providence
For more than twenty-five years, I have enjoyed living on the East Side of Providence in the neighborhoods near Brown University. Many of my real estate clients also choose to live on the East Side. Here they find safe, friendly and walkable neighborhoods - - ones that are alive with vibrant urban amenities. The East Side has tree lined streets, sidewalks, parks and clusters of small independent businesses, all conveniently located in the neighborhoods. These features make Providence, and particularly the East Side neighborhoods, so attractive, livable and desirable.
Charming homes with lots of character
The best neighborhoods in Providence have a mix of homes of different vintages, styles and sizes. Homebuyers new to Providence are amazed at the variety of residential architecture. It seems that no two homes are alike!
Most of the homes for sale in Providence are older. A few are even pre-revolutionary! Most of these older homes are in wonderful condition, retaining much of their original architectural detail and character. Some homes do need updating or cosmetic attention. A few others may have condition issues that are not so obvious. In addition to being a full-time Realtor, I enjoy buying and restoring homes. Please benefit from my experience. Homebuyers who work with me appreciate that I share with them my firsthand knowledge of the things to look for (as well as watch out for), especially when considering buying an older homes.
Does this sound like you?
My clients typically characterize themselves as "city people". They prefer to live in a manageable urban setting like Providence -- one that is diverse, friendly, culturally rich and intellectually stimulating like the East Side neighborhoods. They want cosmopolitan amenities (cultural events, lectures, museums, ethnic restaurants, libraries, independently owned shops and businesses). Most live very active lives, busy with family and professions and want a style of RI living that balances work, home and community. My clients like the convenience and compactness of an urban setting. They like that in Providence they can walk places -- that they don't have to drive everywhere. Providence is famous for its walkability. Many people even walk to work! Providence residents enjoy being able to walk from home to a selection of good restaurants, shops, bookstores, parks, movie theaters, markets and cafes. Sidewalks throughout our neighborhoods make strollering a child and dog walking safe. My clients enjoy that Providence is on the ocean and has four distinct seasons. They like the convenience of an airport being just 10 minutes away and that AMTRAK and commuter rail make stops downtown. If these are things that you appreciate and want in your next locale and home, let's work together. I want to work to help you buy a home that achieves your goals! I also want to take the time to introduce you to community features that will definitely interest you as a new resident.
Find the home you'll love right here.
Calling the East Side of Providence home
The East Side of Providence, where Brown University is located, is a beautiful, old, New England seaport community that was largely developed between 1780 and 1920. The East Side of Providence is renowned for its blend of architectural styles - - a mixture of antique civic buildings, fine historic mansions and restored nineteenth and early twentieth century residential properties, all in a walkable Ivy League University setting. The Providence East Side appeals to creative individuals of all sorts; artists, entrepreneurs, academics, professionals - - singles and families, who enjoy a style of RI living that is easy, yet sophisticated, in a liberal-minded and diverse, walkable college-town community.
What I have done for homebuyers . . .
Reliable information about Rhode Island and a good knowledge of Providence are indispensable when considering relocating and investing in a home on the East Side or elsewhere in the Greater Providence area. Rather than be a gatekeeper to this information, I strive to be a good teacher -- one who is transparent and forthcoming in sharing what I know about our Providence neighborhoods, East Side homes for sale, and the RI real estate market. I work hard to produce website content that is super informative for both, people relocating to Rhode island and Greater Providence, and Rhode Island resident homebuyers who may be unfamiliar with the particulars of the Providence East Side real estate market. I hope that you find my Providence real estate website valuable as an introduction to what the East Side, Providence and Rhode Island have to offer, and insightful as to how I can personally assist you in finding your next home here in the Providence area.
