NEW Realtor Rules in the News - Let Chris explain the new Realtor Rules in the news and how we can use them to your advantage in this competitive market.

Let Chris help you find the best home, in the best neighborhood - - the one that best fits your budget and lifestyle. Benefit from Chris' expert insider perspective on local market conditions. Providence neighborhoods
For more than thirty years, Chris Healy has enjoyed living on the East Side of Providence, in the neighborhoods near Brown University. Many of his real estate clients also choose to live on the East Side. Here they find safe, friendly and walkable neighborhoods - - ones that are alive with vibrant urban amenities. The East Side has tree-lined streets, sidewalks, parks and clusters of small independent businesses, all conveniently located in the neighborhoods. These features make Providence's East Side neighborhoods so attractive, livable and desirable. Each Providence neighborhood has its own particular character. Chris enjoys pointing out a neighborhood's nuances - - why someone new to the area might prefer one over another.

Charming homes with lots of character
In Providence you'll find a mix of homes of different vintages, styles, sizes and prices. Homebuyers new to Providence are amazed at the variety of residential architecture. It seems that no two homes are alike! This variety makes comparing your homebuying options more complicated. Buying a home here is not a cookie-cutter process. For even for the most experienced homebuyer, the thoughtful guidance of a professional, local Buyer's Agent is essential. In the Seller's Market we are in, having Chris as your Buyer's Agent will greatly reduce your stress and greatly increase your success.

Most of the homes for sale in Providence are older. It is not uncommon for a home to be 100+ years old! Many of the older homes are in wonderful condition, retaining much of their original architectural detail and character. Some homes could benefit from updating or cosmetic attention. A few others may have condition issues that are not so obvious. In addition to being a full-time Realtor, Chris enjoys buying and restoring homes. Benefit from his hands-on experience. Homebuyers who work with Chris appreciate that he freely shares his firsthand knowledge of the things to look for (as well as watch out for), especially when considering buying a pre-owned or older home.

Does this sound like you?
Chris explains, "My clients typically characterize themselves as "city people". They prefer to live in a manageable urban setting like Providence -- in a neighborhood that is diverse, friendly, culturally rich and intellectually stimulating like those on Providence's East Side. They want cosmopolitan amenities like a choice of great schools, scultural events, lectures, museums, ethnic restaurants, libraries, independently owned shops and businesses. Most live very active lives, busy with family and professions and want a lifestyle that balances work, home and community. My clients like the convenience and compactness of an urban setting. They like that in Providence they can walk places -- that they don't have to drive everywhere. Providence is famous for its walkability. Many East Siders bike or walk to work!" Providence residents enjoy being able to walk from home to a selection of good restaurants, shops, bookstores, parks, movie theaters, markets and cafes. Sidewalks throughout our neighborhoods make pushing a stroller or dog walking safe. My clients enjoy that Providence is on the ocean and has four distinct seasons. They like the convenience of an airport being just 10 minutes away and that AMTRAK and commuter rail make stops downtown. If these are things that you appreciate and want in your next locale and home, Chris invites you to, "Let's work together. I want to help you buy a home or condo that achieves all your goals! I also want to take the time to introduce you to community features that will definitely interest you as a new resident."

Calling the East Side of Providence home
The East Side of Providence, where Brown University is located, is a beautiful, old, New England seaport community that was largely developed between 1780 and 1920. The East Side of Providence is renowned for its blend of architectural styles - - a mixture of antique civic buildings and restored nineteenth and early twentieth century residential properties, all in a walkable Ivy League University setting. The Providence East Side appeals to creative individuals of all sorts; artists, entrepreneurs, academics, professionals - - singles and families, who enjoy a style of living that is easy yet sophisticated, in a diverse, college-town community.
